Vancouver, B.C. (Monday, February 08, 2021) – Cooledge Lighting Inc. today announced the appointment of Jim Miller as Chief Revenue Officer, bringing decades of leadership experience and a proven track record of driving hyper growth in organizations both within and beyond the lighting sector. Miller will oversee global marketing and sales growth strategy as the company seeks to widen its lead as the brand of choice for acoustic luminous ceiling solutions in both new and existing markets.
Miller has served as a Cooledge board member since 2013. He previously held responsibility for revenue growth as a global sales and marketing executive for LED lighting technology leaders including Cree Lighting, Luminus Devices, Bridgelux, and Philips Lumileds. He most recently served as CEO of Bello Solar Energy.
“As a board member I have watched Cooledge transform new technologies into world-class products that are poised to change the way lighting is used in the built environment,” said Miller. “The foundation is well established, and with a record-breaking number of products launched and expansion into higher volume markets, the time is right to join the team in an operating role and help the company realize our highest potential.”
“We are very pleased to welcome Jim, whose considerable industry expertise and track record of delivering double and triple digit revenue growth are exactly what we need to capitalize on the tremendous momentum we have built in the market,” said William J. Sims, CEO of Cooledge. “We have maintained a rapid pace of innovation to deliver luminous ceiling solutions that provide superior quality illumination and acoustic performance for virtually any project or budget. Fresh off the heels of an infusion of new growth capital, the company is ready for a powerful push forward.”
In 2020 Cooledge expanded its product portfolio to meet an all-encompassing breadth of market needs. This included the doubling of models in its flagship FABRICated Luminaires architectural line with the addition of circles and round shapes; the introduction of FABRIColor, large scale “W+RGB” luminaires; and the launch of a new sub-brand, LumiScapes by Cooledge, with three products that bring Cooledge performance to mainstream markets.
